HOME UPGRADES
A little planning makes the first conversation about a home charging installation more useful.
Homesa / Homeowner planning notes
Explain where you normally park, whether the space is indoors or outdoors, and where you would prefer the charger. Include any practical concerns about access, storage or everyday movement around the parking space.
Provide the vehicle make and model and, if you have already selected equipment, the charger details. If you have not chosen a charger, say so. Avoid buying equipment solely on the assumption that it will suit your home.
Tell the electrician about planned renovations or new appliances. The installation needs to be considered in the context of the property; available electrical capacity and the appropriate scope of work require assessment.
Discuss the proposed location, the work included and any information still needed. Ask who will confirm scheduling and any required approvals before work begins. This article is a conversation checklist, not a technical specification or installation guide.
Thoughtful electrical work.
